Looking out for the Kids! We have many opportunities for you to serve within our children's ministry such as Vacation Bible School, Youth Activities, Children's Sunday School, the nursery and many others. We want you to find a place where you can use your God-given gifts to invest in the lives of children. However, to do so, there are a few things to do so that we can ensure the safety and protection of our children. For our children's safety and the parents' peace of mind, we require screening through the MinistrySafe system. The application link is below. The process can seem lengthy but it isn't too difficult and you are doing a great service for children, the future disciples of Christ. We want to put your mind at ease and answer any questions you have so please email the church office at  office@ssumc-arl.org or Pastor Kyland at  Rev.Dobbins@gmail.com. You also can call the church office 817-460-8655.

You don't have to be an expert. We are looking for people who are passionate about God and passionate about Children.  If you have a heart to love God and a desire to help children discover a relationship with Him, then you have the two ingredients necessary to become a leader in our ministry. You do not need a degree in child education or to be a parent to be a great leader. We will equip and train you to serve in this ministry. It doesn't take the much time. We look forward to getting to know you and helping you find where God has shaped you to be. It will be exciting to watch God at work in you and through you as you minister to His children.
